Zimmnation Summer Enrichment Program

We are pleased to be partnering with Zimmnation's Summer enrichment program.  Based out of Waterbury, CT Zimmnation works with mentoring youth.  The R.E.A.L. Man Program is now being taught as a part of their program to guide and empower at-risk youth.

hartford's camp courant

Founded in 1894 by a group of Hartford Courant employees looking to make a difference for the youth of the City, Hartford’s Camp Courant now serves over 1,100 of Hartford’s children, ages five to 12, typically between 500 – 600 children per day for six weeks each summer. Hartford’s Camp Courant is the largest FREE summer day camp in the nation and is the only summer camp available to Hartford’s inner-city youth which provides transportation, preventive and acute health and social work services, two nutritious meals a day, and recreational, educational and developmental activities, all at no cost to the camper or his or her family.

As one of The H.O.P.E. Foundation's first endeavors, Camp Courant remains a very close philanthropy to which several campers are sponsored to attend annually made possible through donations to The H.O.P.E. Foundation.

​The after school program at Ellen Lurie Public School 5 of New York City performed The Lion King ​musical on June 13th, 2014. The H.O.P.E. Foundation provided a grant to the school's after school program to utilize as they saw fit, making performances like The Lion King possible.

The Foundation continues to provide grants to after school programs and camps, in addition to its scholarships.

Established in memory of Coach Frank D.B. DiCocco (April 13, 1984 - April 30, 2013)

On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, the H.O.P.E. Foundation's directors flew to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to visit Stillman College and meet with the school's Head Football Coach, Teddy Keaton, acting President, Dr. Peter Millet, and Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Anthony Holloman, to establish an endowment in the amount of $25,000, as well as a yearly scholarship, in memory of Coach Frank D.B. DiCocco. ​​

On Thursday, August 29, 2013, the H.O.P.E. Foundation's directors visited the Avon Old Farms campus and met with the school's Headmaster, Ken LaRocque, Director of Development, Dan Seiden, and Associate Director of Development, Anne Black, to establish the Coach Frank D.B. DiCocco '02 Scholarship Fund, an endowment with a current amount of $45,000The H.O.P.E. Foundation also established a yearly scholarship in memory of Coach Frank D.B. DiCocco.
